Quantum control of large spin registers is crucial for many applications ranging from spectroscopy to quantum information. A key factor that determines the efficiency a register implementing given information processing task its network topology. One particular type, called star-topology, involves central qubit uniformly interacting with set ancillary qubits. advantage star-topology in efficient preparation entangled states, NOON and their generalized variants. Thanks robust generation such correlated spectral simplicity, ease polarization transfer qubits qubit, as well availability spin-clusters, have been utilized several interesting over last few years. Here we review some recent progress registers, particularly via nuclear magnetic resonance methods.
